KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)- A ruptured gas line leads to a bit of scare in East Knoxville this evening.
This after a car crashed into a gas line attached to a building on North Burns Road, near Rutledge Pike.
It happened around 7:15, when police say the driver appeared to have had issues with the car's brakes, and then slammed into the gas line.
It took crews about an hour to get the situation under control.
The driver was not on scene when police arrived.
