Governor Haslam announced yesterday that the US Small Business Administration has granted the state's request to declare parts of Knox County a disaster.
This after strong storms flooded out a number of homes and businesses about a month ago.
Those hit hard by the rising waters are now eligible for low interest loans.
Anderson, Blount, Grainger, Jefferson, Loudon, and Roane counties also qualify.

For relief from physical damage due to the storm, you have until May 23rd to apply.
For economic relief you have until December 23rd.
