KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)- From the water to the shore, East Tennesseans were out enjoying the beautiful weather. "Pretty day like this, what better to do than come out and enjoy the weather."
"Absolutely gorgeous. Started off a little questionable, but it was nice. Turned out to be a nice day." Said Anthony Ward who spent the day on Lake Loudon with a friend.
Ward added, "it was a little chilly, but I'll take it. It's the first day on the lake this year, and it's nice to see everybody out."
They took it easy the first day out. He said, "we just made a couple laps around the lake. We went out and put down the anchor for a while so we could take in this beautiful weather." But they learned an important lesson early on.. "SPF 15 only lasts so long."
Across the way in Concord Park, the long holiday weekend lured Justin Marsh and his friends out to work on their golf game. Marsh said, "it's fun to come out, just hang out with your buds. No school or nothing."
And the weather didn't hurt either. He said, "it's nice to get out in the weather during spring."
Marsh's advice? "Get out and enjoy it!"
