Fire crews battle a pair of Sevier County brush fires

SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)- Fire crews in Sevier County have a pair of overnight brush fires in Sevierville under control.

County officials say both started a little after midnight.

The first one is on Bluff Mountain Road, in the 2 thousand block.

It's burned one acre so far. A firefighter battling that blaze was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

And about 40 minutes later, crews responded to a fire near AM King Road.

That fire has burned around 2 acres of land.

The Tennessee Department of Forestry is handling both fires.

No homes are currently in danger.
