KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- New Testament writer Timothy cautions that love of money is the root of all evil, so the University of Tennessee has scheduled a two-day workshop in Knoxville for spiritual leaders designed to help them give advice about financial matters.
University of Tennessee Extension Family and Consumer Sciences experts will offer the workshop titled "Responding to Financial Crisis - Tough Times, Tough Choices." The event is presented in collaboration with the Coalition for the Integration of Faith & Finances.
The workshop will be May 2-3 at the Church Street United Methodist Church.
A news release from the school says the conference is designed to equip pastors, lay leaders and other organizations to support families in crisis.
Participants will hear how to guide people through challenging times.
