I was on my way to the airport to pick up my husband. When I came off of 75N onto 40E, I came up to the first exit and seen an officer standing on the side of the road with a set of spike sticks in his hand getting ready to throw them across the road in the far right lane. Then I looked in the rear view mirror, and seen nothing but blue lights everywhere. I was in the far right lane with a semi in the center lane and another semi in the left lane I had no where to go, then I seen a green in color or dark SUV, I think it was a Jeep Cherokee, that the officers where chasing, flying straight toward me in my lane. I had no where to go so I just let off my gas and braced myself for the worst. The fugitive went all the way to the right at the last minute, driving down the burm on the right shoulder trying to go around the semi's. He then lost control, spun out and stoped on the bank on the right side of the road in the grass. By this time I moved as far as I could torward the concrete barrier on the left and an officer came up between the semi in the center lane and I. I started stopping and seen the fugitive jump from his vehicle while still rolling, and start fleeing on foot back down the side of the road, at the same time an officer stopped on the side of the road and the officer that was next to me drove around the semi's which has just about came to a stop theirselves, jump from their cars and started chasing him down the side of the road. It was a white guy, medium build, dark hair wearing a ball cap, a black and white shirt, long sleeve and dark pants. The morral of this story is that my husband was flying from LA, I told him he needed to find a new place to work, cause I thought there for a bit I was watching COPS, on TV. I was wondering why there was nothing on line about this??
