KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) The Tennessee Valley Authority will host the second annual Knoxville Career Fair on the campus of Knoxville College to highlight job opportunities in engineering, information technology, environmental science and other business-related positions.
The Career Fair will be from 2:00-7:00pm today (Thursday) in the Knoxville College Center Ballroom, 901 Knoxville College Drive. TVA representatives will accept resumes and provide information about available TVA jobs and benefits.
Two- and four-year schools from the Knoxville area will also have exhibits at the Career Fair to highlight educational resources for career development.
"We encourage new and recent graduates in engineering, business and finance, craft trainees and experienced professionals to come to the Career Fair at Knoxville College and learn more about TVA and the opportunities we have at locations throughout the Tennessee Valley," TVA corporate recruiter Michelle Woods said.
The Tennessee Valley Authority, a corporation owned by the U.S. government, provides electricity for 9 million people in parts of seven southeastern states at prices below the national average. TVA, which receives no taxpayer money and makes no profits, also provides flood control, navigation and land management for the Tennessee River system and assists utilities and state and local governments with economic development.
