Send East Tennessee Memorial Day ceremonies

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Memorial Day is a celebration and day of remembrance and several events are planned in our area Monday.

The reading of names on East Tennessee Veterans Memorial in World's Fair Park begins at 6 a.m.

The Knoxville Memorial Day Program starts at 11:30 a.m. in the same spot in World's Fair Park.

Anderson County's 4th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony starts at the Veterans Memorial in front of the Anderson County Courthouse at 10 a.m., and the guest speaker wil be State Senator Randy McNally.

Then at 2:30 p.m., a Memorial Day Program will be held at the East Tennesee Veterans Cemetery on Lyons View Pike in Knoxville.
