Food Lion AutoFair
Lowe's Motor Speedway
Food Lion AutoFair is the nation's largest automotive extravaganza.
Attracting more than 120,000 visitors, the four-day event includes a car show featuring various makes and models from more than 50 clubs; more than 10,000 vendor spaces that offer an array of automotive parts and memorabilia; and a collector car auction conducted by Tom Mack. A car corral, which completely circles the 1.5-mile superspeedway, features nearly 1,500 vehicles of all makes and models that are available for sale or trade.
For the second year in a row, Food Lion AutoFair will include an Antique Automobile Club of America National Meet. More than 600 of the nation's most beautiful classic cars will be on display as part of this "show within a show" on Saturday, April 4. AACA National Meets attract the cream of the crop from across the country, allowing the public rare access to many of the most magnificent automobiles ever built.
The Showcase Garage will feature a Breakthrough Designs theme highlighting innovative and unusual cars, such as California custom car legend Ed "Big Daddy" Roth's 1960 Beatnik Bandit - a glass-domed beauty with joystick control - and 1995 Beatnik Bandit II. Roth's skills as an artist will be seen on a '70s-vintage show car, the Milk Truck. Other famous names from the past include the Margarita Chiquita and a replica of Roth's The Outlaw. A display commemorating 50 years of racing at Lowe's Motor Speedway is also planned.
April 2-5. Food Lion AutoFair runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets for the Food Lion AutoFair can only be purchased at the gate on event days. Adult tickets are $10 per day with children 12 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Parking for the event is $5.
