(LMS) -- CONCORD, N.C. (May 12, 2009) - Rapidly becoming the most popular at-track fan event in NASCAR, "PRN Up To SPEED" will feature one of the best driver lineups to date for the free fan forums taking place at Lowe's Motor Speedway over the next two weekends.
Greg Biffle, Clint Bowyer, Kurt Busch, Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth will join personalities from the Performance Racing Network on the SPEED stage, located at the speedway's main entrance, for a question-and-answer session with race fans on each Cup race day.
"We knew we were onto something when thousands of fans came to the first 'PRN Up To SPEED' at Las Vegas earlier this year," said Marcus Smith, president and general manager of Lowe's Motor Speedway. "Each session is such a great time for the fans to get this kind of interaction with the drivers. We actually had fans camping out in front of the stage at Texas to be on the front row. I expect the same kind of reaction with this lineup at Lowe's Motor Speedway over the next two weekends."
2004 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Busch and the 2003 champion Kenseth will appear on stage between 2-3 p.m. on Saturday May 16, prior to the 25th NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. On Sunday, May 24, Biffle, Bowyer and three-time Coca-Cola 600 champion Johnson will make appearances on the stage between 1-2 p.m., prior to the 50th running of the Coca-Cola 600. Smith will welcome the crowd at the beginning of each session.
"The 'PRN Up To SPEED' program has been a huge success, giving our fans a chance to hear and see the drivers in a candid and fun environment," said Doug Rice, president and general manager of the Performance Racing Network and host of "PRN Up To SPEED." "The drivers have all been very cooperative in reaching out to their fans and it shows every time we go on stage."
Lowe's Motor Speedway is the home of NASCAR's biggest back-to-back weekends with the 25th running of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race and 50th Coca-Cola 600. Ticket packages for both events are available through the Lowe's Motor Speedway ticket office by calling 1-800-455-FANS or online at www.lowesmotorspeedway.com.
