Bus owned by Chesney's sponsor has mishap

RIDGELAND, Miss. (AP) -- Police say one person was injured when a tour bus belonging a corporate sponsor of the Kenny Chesney concert tour was involved in a wreck Wednesday in Ridgeland.

Chesney was not aboard the bus.

A woman who was driving a car that was involved in the accident in the area of Interstate 220 and Interstate 55, was taken to St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. There was no immediate word on her condition.

Police say no injuries were reported aboard the bus, which carried the driver and two stage technicians. The bus was headed to New Orleans, where the country singer is scheduled to perform Thursday.

    I'm glad Kenny was not hurt and I hope the lady is going to be ok.
