'One Tree Hill' to feature military concert

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- The fictional world of television series "One Tree Hill" will merge with North Carolina's real military world for a concert that will appear in an upcoming episode.

The concert will be held Sept. 19 at Marine Corps Air Station New River near Jacksonville.

It's sponsored by the USO and "One Tree Hill," which is filmed in Wilmington. It's free for military and civilian Department of Defense card holders and their sponsored guests, but it's closed to the public.

Performers will include the alternative rock group, Angels & Airwaves, along with "One Tree Hill" cast members Bethany Joy Galeotti and Kate Voegle. Other cast members from the show also will appear.

The concert is scheduled to be featured on the episode airing Nov. 3 on the CW network. The show airs at 9 p.m. Mondays.
