Ailing witness returns to stand in Simpson trial

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Bruce Fromong is back on the stand in the O.J. Simpson trial.

Fromong, one of two memorabilia dealers Simpson is accused of robbing, fell ill during the first day of testimony yesterday.

Yesterday's break interrupted cross-examination by a Simpson lawyer.

After Fromong, prosecutors are expected to call several other witnesses to set the stage for the jury to hear from Thomas Riccio, the collectibles broker who arranged the hotel room meeting between Simpson and the two dealers.

Testimony in the trial started yesterday after jurors heard opening statements.

Simpson has pleaded not guilty to 12 charges, including kidnapping, armed robbery, coercion and assault with a deadly weapon.

Conviction could mean jail time.
