NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Two Nashville-area singer/songwriters will compete Saturday in a series of musical challenges on the premiere episode of "The Big Time" on ABC-TV.
Jessica Ridley and Justin Nault are among three contestants vying for the chance to perform on stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas
The 26-year-old Ridley started a family, and had four children, and is now pursuing a country music career.
The 25-year-old Nault attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston and arranged his schedule in order to play local gigs to help pay for school. In Nashville, he's performed at a dueling piano bar to pay for producing his own album.
The show, taped mostly in Las Vegas, airs at 2 p.m. CST.
