NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Gospel singer BeBe Winans is charged with misdemeanor domestic assault after a dispute with his ex-wife.
According to the arrest warrant filed Wednesday, 46-year-old Benjamin "BeBe" Winans went to pick up his children from his ex-wife's Nashville home on Feb. 13.
The warrant states the divorced couple got into an argument about their children and Debra Winans told authorities Benjamin Winans pushed her to the ground.
He was released from the Davidson County jail Thursday after posting $1,000 bond.
A message left Friday for Winans' publicist Toni Noble was not immediately returned.
Winans is a judge on BET's television show "Sunday Best," has recorded gospel albums with his sister CeCe and has won four Grammy awards.
