SURVIVOR WATCH: Knoxville native survives week eight

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Knoxville native Benjamin “Coach” Wade has safely made it through week eight on Survivor Tocantins: The Brazilian Highlands.

Though he wasn’t eliminated, the West High School graduate and University of Tennessee alum received two elimination votes.

Coach appeared to feel in control of the contest, though it looks like some of the other contestants are getting tired of some of the stories he’s been telling.

Fortunately, alliances were formed before tribal council and Brendan received double the amount of elimination votes as Coach.

Taj, wife of former Tennessee Titans running back Eddie George made it through the week too, managing not to receive a single vote.

Eight contestants now remain on the show, which wraps up on May 17th, 2009.
