BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- Jazz musician Chuck Mangione's performance in Buffalo, N.Y., next month will be followed by a fundraiser for the victims of Flight 3407, including two members of his band.
Mangione had been scheduled to play at Kleinhans Music Hall on Feb. 13, but the concert was postponed after a Continental Connection turboprop crashed into a home in Clarence the previous night, killing all 49 on board. One man in the house died.
Passengers included Mangione band members Coleman Mellett and Gerry Niewood, both of New Jersey.
Mangione's performance on May 1 with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will be followed by a party to raise money for the Town of Clarence Flight 3407 Memorial Fund.
