Knoxville (WVLT) - Thousands of people are expected to return to the region's roots this weekend, a free performance celebrates the work of an all-time great composer and two classic films shine in Downtown Knoxville.

An old time mountain festival is underway at the museum of Appalachia in Norris.

This year's Tennessee Fall Homecoming is filled with more than 175 mountain activities and four stages featuring folk, gospel and bluegrass music.

Mainly Mozart Festival - Saturday

Five free performances celebrate the work of one of the world's greatest composers.

The Knoxville Opera Company honors the 250th birthday of Mozart with their Mainly Mozart Festival.
