WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, N.C. (AP) -- Two actors on "One Tree Hill" have taken a leap of faith.
Robert Buckley and Amanda Schull jumped Monday from a bridge into the calm waters of Banks Channel for a scene in the Wilmington-filmed television series that airs on the CW network.
The Star-News of Wilmington reported on its Web site that divers, personal watercraft, small boats, the U.S. Coast Guard and law enforcement were present to make sure the scene went smoothly.
The actors held hands as they jumped feet-first shortly before 9:30 a.m.
Long-time cast member James Lafferty directed the scene, which ended just a few minutes before heavy rain began falling.
The state Transportation Department and the town of Wrightsville Beach gave their permission for the jump.
