EAGLEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A 1986 XJ-6 Jaguar once owned by country singer Conway Twitty is on sale for charity.
The beige car is parked in Eagleville, south of Nashville, with a for sale sign on the windshield.
David B. Turner, the current owner, said he obtained the car three years ago. He told the Shelbyville Times-Gazette that he plans to donate 100 percent of the proceeds to the YMCA of Rutherford County and the Shalom Society, a nonprofit organization building a children's hospital in Guatemala City.
Turner, a pulmonary biomedical specialist in Nashville, said he has been looking to help his two favorite charities. He said he hopes to get a significant amount for the car.
Twitty, best known for his hit "It's Only Make Believe," died in 1993.
