ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- ACM "Song of the Year" award winners, the Eli Young Band, are headed to Rogersville this summer for the city's annual Independence Day celebration.

On Sunday, the group won its first Academy of County Music Award for its #1 hit "Crazy Girl." It was also nominated for Single Record of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year.

The Eli Young Band, along with contemporary Christian artists MercyMe, will play the free 4th of July Celebration in Rogersville City Park.

The all day event will feature a parade, kiddie rides, food, games, and one of the largest fireworks shows in the southeast, organizers said. They're saying this year features the largest array of entertainment ever offered.

Dove Award winners MercyMe will take the stage around 6:30 p.m. with the Eli Young Band set to play around 8:30 p.m.
