Cincinnati, OH (WVLT) – Cincinnati-based fast-casual restaurant Tom+Chee announced today that it will open thirteen new stores by spring 2015.
One of those stores will be in Knoxville, Tennessee, at 9159 Kingston Pike, near Cedar Bluff.
Specializing in tomato soup and grilled cheese, Tom+Chee is known for quirky takes on comfort food classics. Among the menu offerings - a Grilled Cheese Donut. Several variations, in fact.
The restaurant offers 20+ grilled cheese sandwiches, three versions of tomato soup, plus salads and specials including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
Over the course of the fourth quarter of 2014 and first quarter of 2015, Tom+Chee stores will also open stores in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Missouri, Kansas, North Carolina, Louisiana, Georgia and Nebraska. In addition to the thirteen new locations, Tom+Chee’s first brick and mortar store, on Court Street in Cincinnati, will celebrate a grand re-opening this fall.
“We couldn’t be more excited to continue to bring Tom+Chee into these new markets," said co-founders Corey Ward and Trew Quackenbush.
By spring of 2015, Tom+Chee will open locations in the following cities:

Originally started as a food tent in Cincinnati, Tom+Chee has seen explosive growth since May 2013. The Tom+Chee franchise currently has fourteen stores in operation and 150 stores under contract in 20 states, including Tennessee, North Carolina, Michigan, New Jersey and Georgia.
