New art exhibition opens Friday in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- More than 40 Tennessee artists will present their work in a new exhibition in Knoxville beginning Friday.

"The Fall Juried Show: October Brushstrokes" features original art including oils, watercolors, acrylics, pastels, photography and mixed media.

The exhibition, presented by the Arts & Culture Alliance, will be displayed at the Emporium Center through Oct. 28.

Organizers said the exhibition offers the breadth and quality of Tennessee artists' work. Awards for the show will be presented Friday night.
