Report: Lindsay Lohan booted from community service program

(CBS) -- Actress Lindsay Lohan is now performing her court-ordered community service with the Red Cross, after reportedly getting kicked out of her previous community-service program at a women's shelter.

According to TMZ, Lohan was supposed to serve 360 hours at Los Angeles' Downtown Women's Center, but was given the boot for violating the rules.

The website reports that Judge Stephanie Saunter ordered Lohan to be reliable, non-disruptive and serve at least four hours at a time. But the actress, 25, reportedly blew off nine scheduled visits, and would often leave ones she attended after working for only an hour.

Sources told TMZ that Lohan was booted from the program and has now been assigned to a new community service program at the Red Cross (Access Hollywood confirms she's now performing her hours there).

The actress was ordered to complete 480 hours of community service within a year (by April 2012), as part of a sentence stemming from probation in her drunken driving and misdemeanor theft cases. She was also ordered to enroll in psychological counseling and complete a series of anti-shoplifting classes.

Lohan is due back in court for a progress hearing on Oct. 19.
