MADISONVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- An East Tennessee band has made it to the finals of a big battle of the bands contest.
"The Surfers" from Monroe County won for the region through Tennessee, northern Georgia, and Louisiana.
They're one of 11 finalists from bands all over the nation. More than 300 bands competed from the beginning.
