KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The man driving the van has been charged with several driving violations.
Police say 34 year-old Jason Watts is charged with vehicular assault for DUI and causing serious injury to another party, driving on a revoked license for vehicular assault and failure to yield.
Two people are injured after their vehicles went off the road during an accident.
It happened around 5:58 PM Saturday on Callahan Drive at the ramp to I-75 South.
Police say a white work van was going west when it tried to cross the eastbound lanes to get on the ramp when it was hit by a red Ford F-150 truck.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital with possible internal injuries, while the driver of the van was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
