University of Nebraska Athletic Director Steve Pederson is holding a news conference in the Bob Devaney Sports Center to introduce the new head men's basketball coach at the University of Nebraska.

In the past two seasons leading the University of Texas at El-Paso Miner program, Doc Sadler has compiled a 48 and 18 record and led the Miners to the 2005 NCAA Tournament and an appearance in the 2006 NIT.

Sadler, who is a 1982 graduate of Arkansas, spent his first season at UTEP as an assistant to current Texas A&M coach Billy Gillispie and was promoted after Gillispie left the Aggies.

Sadler's 2005 squad went 21 and 10. In 14 years in the Division I ranks, 11 teams that Sadler has coached have reached the post-season, 8 of which have reached the NCAA Tournament.
