Knoxville (WVLT) - An update to a story we first brought you on East Tennessee This Morning.
Four people are in the hospital, one in critical condition, after crashing into a large concrete barrier Downtown.
Police say four people were in a silver Porsche when the driver lost control and hit the barrier at about 1:30 this morning on Fourth Avenue near Gill Downtown.
The impact threw at least one person from the car.
Paramedics took all four to UT Medical Center. At least one victim, a woman, has life-threatening injuries.
KPD tells us she was in the front seat.
Investigators say speed was a factor in the crash, and they believe alcohol may also be involved.
