Operation Christmas Child; National Collection Week Nov. 13-20

(WVLT) - An organization is asking for your help in making Christmas a little brighter for millions of children around the world. Operation Christmas Child is the world's largest Christmas project. It's asking on local children, churches, businesses, schools, and community organizations to join the massive effort to bring comfort to children overseas suffering from disease, famine, war, terrorist, and natural disasters.

Operation Christmas Child asks you to pack a shoe box with necessity items, school supplies, candy and a letter of encouragement. They all must also have a stuffed animal in them. You can drop off the shoe box at any of the East Tennessee locations listed below or go www.samaritanspurse.org. You can also call (615) 309-6013.
