Somerville, Tenn. (AP) -- Two Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies were shot today but both are believed to have suffered non-critical injuries.
The suspect in both shootings was killed by authorities searching for him in a manhunt.
The first deputy, Doug Davis, was wounded three times this morning during a traffic stop while wearing a protective vest. The suspect fled in his own vehicle.
The second deputy, al freeman, was wounded later during the capture of the suspect and is listed in fair condition at the med in Memphis.
The identity of the suspect has not been released.
The Shelby County SWAT Team and the Tennessee Highway Patrol assisted in the search.
