Weather Alert: Strong to severe storms are expected tonight
Kodak, Sevier County (WVLT) - Authorities say alcohol and drugs likely played a factor in a late night crash that killed an East Tennessee man.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol say 49-year-old Michael Denton of strawberry plains was driving east on Douglas Dam Road in Kodak, when he lost control, ran off the road and hit a tree.
Denton was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
