Jacksboro, Campbell County (WVLT) - Right now, a lawyer's illness is not expected to delay the trial for a Campbell County teen accused of murder.
Michael Hatmaker is part of the team defending 15-year-old Kenneth Bartley Junior on charges of killing an assistant principal and wounding two other administrators more than a year ago.
Mister Hatmaker's associates confirm he's spent Friday hospitalized for tests to determine whether he may have suffered a stroke.
But they say those tests, or any illness they may uncover, should not prevent Bartley's trial from starting, as scheduled, next April.
