The Knoxville Police Department is investigating a rape case involving a 14 year old girl and her track coach.
According to KPD the 14 year old girl was in Knoxville, Saturday, for a track meet when the coach sexually assaulted her while she was sleeping. The girl and the coach were from Dyersburg.
Police say the coach's two daughters and another girl were also in the car.
44 year old Timothy Neal Byars, who is also a youth minister, has been charged with one count of rape. He was released from the Knox County Detention Facility on a $50,000 bond.
The girl text messaged her parents telling them she was in trouble. They flew to Knoxville and called the police.
KPD says they are talking to Nashville police about another possible victim.
