Weather Alert: Strong to severe storms are expected tonight
Loudon, Loudon County (WVLT) - Transportation officials have shut down one lane of traffic on I-40 in Loudon County after a garbage truck slams into an overpass.
The overpass is near I-40 Exit 364.
Officials from TDOT say the overpass suffered structural damage Tuesday when the truck traveling on US 321/ SR 73 hit the bridge.
A release from TDOT says the closure will remain until that section of the overpass is deemed safe for travel again.
