Claiborne Sheriff Being Investigated by TBI
Knoxville (WVLT) - The Sheriff of Claiborne County is under investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The TBI confirms tonight that they were called in to investigate Sheriff David Ray on allegations of misconduct.
The TBI says that District Attorney General Berkley Bell of Hancock County asked them to investigate the allegations on November 22nd.
So far, no charges have been filed.
David Ray was elected as sheriff in August.
He did not return a call seeking comment.
