Maryville, Blount County (WVLT) - Plans are moving forward to build a civic arts center at Maryville College.
Monday afternoon, the cities of Alcoa and Maryville held a public hearing to discuss selling bonds to pay for it.
Both cities have agreed to put up money for the project.
Blount County has declined to do so.
If all goes as planned, construction will begin in the fall of next year.
