Al Gore Films Conservation Spot for Oprah

Nashville (AP) -- Al Gore has taped a segment in Franklin for Oprah Winfrey's talk show.

The former vice president and Tennessee senator took a film crew into the Lowe's Home Improvement Store Sunday to highlight ways consumers can save energy. The segment will air Tuesday.

During the taping Sunday, Gore suggested purchasing a programmable thermostat, compact fluorescent light bulbs and energy efficient appliances.
