Biodiesel Plant Breaks Ground in Morgan County

Wartburg, Morgan County (WVLT) - Morgan County is going green after Northington Energy breaks ground on a bio-diesel plant.

The plant will convert soybean oil to bio-diesel, a bio degradable and non toxic fuel product, making it more eco-friendly.

The plant will go up in the Flat Fork Business Park and is expected to create at least 20 new jobs.

This will be a huge venture for the county, who normally doesn't get big business because of their rural location.

"Its hard to do sometimes but with TVA's help, Tennessee's help we've established two different industrial parks that we feel like is the wave of the future for us."

The plant should be operational in about six months.
