Nashville (AP) -- US Senator-Elect Bob Corker of Tennessee picked up four committee assignments Thursday, Energy, Foreign Relations, Aging and Small Business.
He said the four will allow him to focus on issues important to Tennessee.
Corker, a real estate entrepreneur and businessman, said he felt his background would help him represent owners of small businesses on the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee.
He's succeeding fellow Republican Bill Frist in the Senate.
