Sevierville, Sevier County (WVLT) - Five Sevier County jail inmates are facing rape charges.
Authorities say the victim, who was serving time for shoplifting, alleges the incident happened December 5th in a cell inside the women's area of the jail.
Tonight, 28-year-old Michelle Gunter, 27-year-old Kandi Arwood, 21-year-old Krystal Kawalski, 25-year-old Megan Hudson and 19-year-old Vandy Morin are facing one count of rape, each.
According to detectives, the women believed the victim was hiding drugs and searched her.
The victim is out of jail.
