Coach, Kentucky Man Killed in Crash

Lost Creek, KY. (AP) -- A traffic crash in Southeastern Kentucky has claimed the lives of two people and left three others injured.

State police says a truck driven by Riverside Christian School Basketball Coach Michael Alex, Junior crossed the center line while on Kentucky 15 and struck a Toyota Camry driven by Jeffrey Jack.

Officers report Breathitt Countians Alex and Jack died at the scene near the Lost Creek Community Monday afternoon. Three people in the Camry, including Elaine Jack, and two children, were flown to the UK Medical Center. School administrators canceled classes for Tuesday at Riverside Christian. Alex's wife also worked at the school.

State police say alcohol was not involved in the accident.

Lost Creek is 48 miles east-northeast of London.
