Above Knoxville (WVLT) - It's been 25 days since we've seen our Eye in the Sky Pete Michael's airborne.
Pete took to the skies on Friday night, the first time since December 12th. You'll recall that was when Pete was forced to make an emergency belly landing at Downtown Island Home Airport after his landing gear failed to lock into place.
Pete's daring landing captivated an international audience on CNN and locally on WVLT as he skillfully landed his plane in the grass in front the cameras.
Michael's used the Friday night flight as a chance to setup the onboard cameras that had been jarred in the crash landing. Pete also used the opportunity to make an appearance on Volunteer TV News at 7:00.
Pete will be back in the sky, covering Knoxville's traffic like no one else can on East Tennessee This Morning, Monday at 5:30 a.m.
