Knoxville Officer Involved in Crash
Knoxville (WVLT) – A crash involving a Knoxville police officer Tuesday. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured.
Police say Officer Wallace Armstrong's cruiser struck a car driven by 21-year-old Ashley Allen when Allen failed to yield on 21st and Western.
Allen was pinned in her vehicle, but police say she wasn't seriously hurt.
"The officer was shaken and behind his vehicle, in his vehicle. Obviously a little distraught and shaken, but seems to be okay," Captain David Rausch said.
Both were taken to a nearby hospital just to be checked out.
