Jacksboro, Campbell County (WVLT) - There's been another delay in the Kenny Bartley transfer hearing.
Volunteer TV's Kim Bedford is in Campbell County outside the courthouse with what happened this morning.
Everyone thought a decision would be made today but Kenny Bartley's attorney Matt Hatmaker wants to bring in one more psychologist who can't be here until Friday.
Kenny Bartley was brought in again in shackles this morning. Three more experts testified today and again we were not allowed in the courtroom due to a privacy law in Tennessee regarding mental health records. Jo Bruce and her two sons sat in support of Ken Bruce not expecting the delay.
"Of course we would have liked to see not another delay but we certainly understand the need for it and we're willing to wait and we'll be back here on Friday morning," Jo Bruce, widow of slain Campbell County assistant principal Ken Bruce.
Mrs. Bruce tells WVLT when it comes to where she wants Kenny to be tried she trusts the justice system will prevail and the right decision will be made.
We're told Judge Davis should make that decision Friday and we'll be here for that. We'll hear more from Jo Bruce tonight at 5:30.
