A LOCAL 8 WEATHER ALERT is in effect into Wednesday due repeated rainfall. A Flood Watch is in effect for our area until 7 AM Wednesday. Where there are more pauses in the rain, totals will be closer to 2 inches but some will receive at least 4 inches of rainfall total. Creeks and streams run high and areas with poor runoff could face flooding problems. Busy commute hours could face more slowdowns, with fog and standing water on roads as well.
Knoxville (WVLT) - The Fifth Annual Evening of Elegance will definitely be something to remember.
The founders of the non-profit organization Forever Families, Inc. have announced the first of many efforts to encourage and equip the marriages and families in Knox County.
Tuesday afternoon, Jeff and Debby McElroy introduced the Knox County Marriage Hall Of Fame, in an effort to continue and spread the "legacy of love".
"If we can have a story of so many people who have lived out a legacy of love, and have a place to honor that, what an inspiration that might give to this generation that has lost hope in marriage," says Jeff McElroy, President, Forever Families, Inc.
If you have been married fifty years or more, and live in Knox County, send your name, wedding date and contact information to firstname.lastname@example.org.
On February 13th, Forever Families will host this year's Evening Of Elegance at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Downtown, where the names of the first inductees into the Marriage Hall Of Fame will be announced.
