Students Get Lesson On Black History Month

Pelisippi State Students got a history lesson today in how the underground railroad helped free slaves, leading up to the end of the Civil War.
Organizers hosted today's talk to kick off the college's observance of Black History Month.
Author Prince Brown of Northern Kentucky University discussed his research on the legendary escape network.
Students learned nearly 200, 000 runaway slaves traveled the underground railroad, on their way to the North and Canada.
