Blount County (WVLT) One East Tennessee hospital showed off a new system on Wednesday designed to help save the lives of people suffering a heart attack.
Blount Memorial Hospital and Rural Metro demonstrated their new Life-pack 12 system.
It allows EMT's to begin an EKG on a patient when they first arrive.
The system allows them to make a cellphone connection and send the information to the hospital.
Officials say they are then able to have a cardiac team ready with much of the information they need when the patient arrives.
