Knoxville (WVLT) - Two people have applied for the interim school superintendent position in Knox County.
The school board is buying out Doctor Charles Lindsey's contract.
There are 18 months left at a $160,000 base salary.
Doctor Lindsey will stay on to help whoever takes over.
So far, Knox County Deputy Superintendent Roy Mullins has applied for the position as well as Emerson Hall, who has 20 years experience as a district superintendent in Arkansas and California.
The school board will meet on March 7th to decide on a replacement.
