Local Authorities Work Several Car Accidents

Knoxville (WVLT) - Less than 24 hours after an accident that killed three people on Chapman Highway, Knoxville Police are once again busy on that stretch of road.

Dispatchers tell us they responded to at least three separate accidents on Chapman all around eight Friday evening, all within minutes of each other.

Police tell us no one was seriously injured in any of those accidents.

A two car accident happened in front of the Ye Olde Steakhouse.

The other happened at Governor John Sevier Highway, involving only one vehicle.

The third also involved only one vehicle, and it happened in front of the Kroger in Seymour.

Meanwhile, one person is recovering after being hit by a truck on North Broadway earlier tonight. Police say the woman was taken to UT Medical Center just after eight tonight. No word on her condition. An investigation is ongoing.

What happened to newspapers printing local news? I saw one car fire in front of Walmart yesterday, another accident in front of McMahan's Nursery.....nothing about it in the news. It would be nice to know what happened.
