Rhea Man Arrested; Bombs Found in Home

Rhea County (WVLT) - Sheriff's deputies and the ATF have taken a Rhea County man into custody following a raid on a house Wednesday.

Jeffery Jones is currently being held on a warrant out of McMinn County.

According to Rhea deputies, a search of the property turned up explosives, which were disposed of by a bomb squad.

The ATF would not confirm that Jones is a suspect in a probe into pipe bombs found at a impound lot in Sweetwater, but Rhea County deputies did say they searched the home in connection with the case.
